Physical Book Shipping, PDF Adventure & Gencon Update

Hi everyone! Just checking in with an update regarding physical book shipments and the PDF adventure. By now, everyone should have either received their books, or been notified with a tracking number that their packages are on their way. If you have not, please send me an email at [email protected], and I will be happy to track your book down for you.
Shipping Snafu With Wave #2
A day or two ago, I was notified that some backers who were part of the Wave #2 shipping group had not received their books, which had shipped on August 25th. Although I have record of USPS picking up the packages from my porch, USPS has no idea what happened to the books after they passed into their care. Because the Wave #2 books were shipped the day before hurricane Irma caused extensive flooding in New York and New Jersey, my best guess is that they got lost in the resulting chaos. I have emailed all backers in Wave #2 to let them know what happened, and sent out a new shipment of books to those backers on September 13th. Some of the books shipped on the 13th have already arrived, with others close to reaching their destination.
Oddly, some of the books shipped on August 25th did arrive safely, while others are still MIA. Because USPS doesn't know what happened to the shipment, It's possible that they'll be returned to me, or that backers in Wave #2 may end up with two copies of the book. If this happens, you are welcome to keep the second book, or encouraged to donate it to a gaming club, library or marginalized member of your community.
PDF Adventure Progress
I am still making progress on the PDF adventure, but have been having some severe health issues over the last couple of weeks, which means I haven't been able to work as often as intended. At this time, the adventure is halfway done, with all of the artwork complete and 2/3 of the text written. I have been working on it for a few hours each day and am making good progress. I've set a hard deadline for the end of the month and will continue to do my best to meet it.
Gencon Indy & Gencon Online
I had originally planned to run several demo games of Mage to Order as part of Gencon Online, but the aforementioned health issues forced me to cancel. However, if you or anyone you know is attending Gencon Indy this weekend, you can stop by IGDN booth #108 to purchase a physical copy of the book. IDGN had also planned to run demos, but I'm uncertain whether they found enough volunteers to do so (many people chose not to attend the convention this year for obvious reasons). If you do stop by the IGDN booth, please thank them for all their hard work in representing designers who couldn't be at Gencon in person.
And that's all the news to tell. Expect another update at the end of the month when the PDF adventure is complete, and we start ramping up for our next project. I look forward to updating you then!
All Physical Rewards Shipped!

Hi everyone! As of today, all physical rewards for Mage to Order have shipped. You may have gotten a tracking notice, even if you've already received your book. This is because Backerkit only generates this notice once all postage for a project has been purchased. Most of you should already have the book in hand, but if you haven't gotten it, please use the tracking notice to check on its location. If you have not received your book by September 10th, please send me an email at [email protected] and I will try to locate it for you.
For those of you who purchased Cut Him Out in Little Stars, you should expect a link to download the PDF on September 17th. In the meantime, enjoy some of the artwork that's been created for the adventure.

Wave #3

Hi everyone! We just shipped wave #3 of our physical rewards, which is the largest shipment yet. Wave 4 will ship next week, and will be much smaller, as we double check to make sure nothing has slipped through the cracks. With the exception of a few international pre-orders, we expect that everyone who pledged for the physical book should have them in hand by the first week of September. As mentioned in our previous update, we expect the PDF adventure to be completed around the same time. If the first week of September passes and you haven't gotten your book, please let us know so we can track it down for you.
We also wanted to remind you that we'll be running Mage to Order at Gencon Online, and that there are a few tickets left. These games will take place entirely on Discord, so you can play from anywhere in the world.

Shipping Progress

Hi everyone! After a delivery of toner, we've completed our second wave of shipping, which means we're more than halfway done with fulfilling physical orders. We're shipping in four waves, since I have a limit on how many packages I can request our postal carrier to pick up (I work from home and have a "business address," but it's in a residential area, so I'm slightly limited). I've been shipping a fresh batch of packages out every Tuesday and, unless there's another toner shortage (hopefully not!), I should be able to have all packages shipped before the end of the month.
I'm also making progress on the PDF adventure, and am about 1/3 of the way through writing it. Including editing, artwork and layout, it should also be complete and ready to send by the end of the month or the first week of September. Until then, I wanted to let you know about some other great projects by talented designers that I'm excited about!
The Price of Coal, a story game about labor rights and the Battle of Blair Mountain, is coming to Kickstarter on August 25th. For those unfamiliar, the Battle of Blair Mountain was the largest labor uprising in the United States to date, and was one of several labor disputes between Appalachian coal miners and their employers in the early part of the 20th century.
Mausritter, an adorable, rules-light fantasy game, where players take on the roles of tiny mice adventurers exploring a great big world, is live on Kickstarter and smashing through stretch goals. You have the option of pledging for a boxed set, which gives you everything you need to play, as well as 10(!) adventures to explore as your character.

Shipping Update

Hello friends! I wanted to give you a small update about shipping physical rewards. As mentioned in the previous update, we're shipping books in waves (4 to be specific), so as to not overwhelm our postal carrier. The first wave went out last Friday, and we intended to ship the second wave this week. However, when we went to print labels, we realized our printer was out of toner. This is on me; I should have thought to check before we began printing. We've ordered more toner, and it should arrive in a few days. Once it does, we'll send out the second wave as planned.
Sorry for any delays! Hopefully it will only take a day or two to get the toner to us, and we'll be back on track to ship as planned. Thank you so much for your patience.
